We are part of a grassroots network throughout Wisconsin that started with volunteers from Howard Dean's presidential campaign. Our goals are to increase grassroots participation in American politics, to support progressive policies and candidates, and to reform and renew the Democratic Party.

Our monthly meetings are always at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of the month, usually at the Madison Central Library.

Congressional candidate Bryon Kennedy will be one of our guest speakers this month, and his topic will, of course, be his race against Jim Sensenbrenner. Because the fall elections are getting close, we expect to have several other candidates joining us for this meeting as well.

Democracy for Wisconsin's Goals:

---

1. To work inside and outside the Democratic Party to create strong sustained grassroots involvement in the democratic process.

2. To support progressive candidates and elected officials who tell the truth about tough policy choices and are willing to stand up for what they believe in.

3. To fight against George W. Bush, the radical right wing, and the selfish special interests that dominate American politics.

4. To fight for progressive policies such as health care for all, investment in children, equal rights, fiscal responsibility, protecting our environmental, and a national security policy based on human rights and respect for international law.
